Is this price any good?
These compare a price against what the bet is actually worth — the difference between a payout and an edge.
Managing a position
For bets you already hold, or prices that disagree across books enough to act on.
A payout is not an edge
Worth stating plainly, because it is the line the tools above are split along. Working out what a bet pays is arithmetic — always correct, and it tells you nothing about whether the bet is worth placing. Whether a price is good depends on the payout measured against the true chance of the thing happening, and the true chance is never what a single price implies.
A single price includes the book's margin, so its implied probability is inflated. Both sides of a −110 market imply 52.38%, which adds to more than certainty. Removing that margin is what devigging means, and it is the step between "what does this pay" and "should I take it".
Where the maths comes from
These are not generic widgets. They run the same conversions and devig routines that price our board every day, and every formula is unit-tested against hand-derived values rather than against its own output. If you want the concepts rather than the calculators, the glossary explains each one in plain terms.
